Celebrate the start of summer with the Cochrane Public Library at Lake Commando Beach as we launch the TD Summer Reading Club during Ocean Week Canada. This year’s theme, Dive In: Canada’s Waterways and Oceans, invites families to explore how our local lakes connect to the wider world of water.

At the beach, families can take part in a hands‑on water‑testing demonstration, learn about freshwater stewardship, and discover simple ways to protect the health of our local environment. Library staff will share kid‑friendly activities, environmental facts, and opportunities to stay engaged all summer long.

Children and families can register for the TD Summer Reading Club on-site, pick up their reading materials, ask questions, and join us in kicking off a season of reading, exploring, and community fun.
