Come out to celebrate Ocean Week Canada and learn all about marine birds at Island View Beach Regional Park! Join expert birder Geoffrey Newell and a CRD Regional Parks naturalist on a guided walk along the beach trail to learn some basic identification, life history and fun facts about some common birds that you might see on the water. This walk is suitable for ages 8+ years – bring binoculars if you have them!
Meet at the picnic shelter off Homathko Drive. It is an 800m walk on sandy and rocky beach with driftwood, and there is an accessible washroom at the parking lot.
Pre-registration is not required, but click the “Register” button to learn more and check out other upcoming programs with CRD Regional Parks!
