École les Aiglons grade 7 to 9 students will be testing a stream that leads into the ocean that runs by our school, looking at its health. We also are doing some measures in the ocean and at the lake to compare and see what we may learn by looking at this different information. Students are also testing the Ocean water and looking for microplastics during multiple days – May 7th at the ocean, may 15th at Alice lake and May 30 for our monthly stream testing. June 17th to 19th, we will be canoe-camping at Pitt lake and taking measures at a variety of stops to see how that may affect data (at the waterfall, in the quieter inland water, in the tide affected Pitt lake and in the marsh where we will launch canoes).
