Students in Grades 4-6 at Smallwood Academy will take a deep dive into ocean conservation with help from DFO Fishery Officers. They’ll learn about species at risk, explore the impact of urban pollution through a hands-on demo, get up close with marine life in a touch tank, and tour a fisheries patrol boat. In the afternoon, they’ll head outside for a shoreline cleanup – turning learning into real-world action for our oceans!
