Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is teaming up with ACAP Humber Arm, Atlantic Healthy Oceans Initiative, the Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station, and Parks Canada to host an exciting, hands-on learning day for Grades 10–12 students from Gros Morne Academy. From live species viewings aboard a DFO fast rescue craft to up-close exploration of marine life at the Bonne Bay Aquarium, students will dive into the world of sustainable ocean ecosystems. They’ll learn about responsible fishing practices, tools used to monitor Aquatic Invasive Species and coastal habitats, and the science behind maintaining healthy marine environments.
