About The Artist
Lyne G. Morissette is a marine ecologist focused on marine mammals and ecosystem health. She leads M – Expertise Marine and M – Médias, and is an associate professor at the Institut des sciences de la mer in Rimouski. With a PhD in zoology and two postdocs in conservation and biodiversity, she merges science and media to protect ocean ecosystems. Her work has earned her the Quebec National Assembly Medal, Canada’s Meritorious Service Medal, and the Rolland Michener Award for conservation excellence.
