The Ohné:ka Healing Project, guided by Haudenosaunee educators and environmental knowledge holders, is excited to share a Haudenosaunee-centered water and environmental curriculum. This curriculum will be available on our new webpage, ohnekahealingproject.com, and will feature resources, educational tools, and a space to share knowledge that helps protect our natural world.

This year, we’re excited to connect with local schools in Tyendinaga, Kingston, Belleville, and Gananoque. Starting in May and leading up to Ocean Week in June, we’ll be hosting engaging workshops with students to explore water quality and the importance of keeping our waters healthy. Through hands-on water testing, we’ll teach the next generation how to connect with and care for their environment in a meaningful way, all through a Haudenosaunee lens. We hope this experience sparks a deeper understanding of our shared responsibility to protect the gift of water.
