Learn about Coast Salish Indigenous History and Culture while touring False Creek The rich heritage of canoe culture traces back to ancient times, immemorial and timeless. Historical records reveal that canoe races date as far back as the 1880s, illustrating the enduring legacy of this tradition. Legend has it that our revered ancestors, during the Great Flood, skillfully secured their canoes atop Nch’kay’ (Mount Garibaldi), the towering peak within our ancestral territory, showcasing their remarkable prowess and connection to the natural world.

Located at Concord Community Park, 50 Pacific Boulevard, in between Stadium and Science World/Mainstreet Skytrain stations.

After your trip enjoy some traditional food from the Golden Bannock food truck.
