Celebrate World Oceans Day at the Halifax Central Library! On June 11th, join the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society-NS, Ecology Action Centre, Oceans North, WWF-Canada, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, in a celebration of Atlantic Canada’s deep-sea canyons. Get creative in our art workshop and prepare to be amazed with rare footage of these unique ecosystems, home to deep-sea corals, bottlenose whales, dumbo octopus, and so much more. Make sure to stick around until 2pm, when we’ll hear from researchers on the wonders of the deep sea and why it is important to protect these sensitive habitats
