Seafoam Fandango

June 1st 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
North Rustico, Prince Edward Island

This year Rustico Surf Club & Friends are stoked to present our very first Ocean Week Canada Event in the town of North Rustico called Seafoam Fandango.  June 1st is the official start date for the Atlantic Hurricane season and is 1-week before World Ocean Day. This outdoor event will be free to the public and take place on June 1st at Seawalk Park from 12pm-5pm.  It will help promote ocean stewardship and the fragility of the environment that North Rustico occupies.

During the event there will be a Surf Forecasting Workshop by Rustico Surf Club, local musicians, recreation enthustiasts, environmental contributors, and art vendors ( Oh Hey PEI,  Abby Hyndman, Ashley Anne Clark,  Emily Howard Art). There will also be an interactive station with Climate Adaptation Researcher, Stephanie Arnold, and an art station hosted by River Clyde Arts using unique recycled material.   We look forward to collaborating with friends whose innovative work impacts ocean knowledge, values, and action. We recognize the important role the ocean plays in our everyday lives and how local waterways connect us all to the ocean.
