The Public Service are rallying the next generation of folk-rock from the five corners of Punamukwatijk / Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Their live show serves up an amusing goulash of singer-songwriter-folk-funk, baked into an East Coast sing-along dance party. Songs For The Living (2022) is a collection of musical love letters addressed to people and places left behind, not always by choice. Songs For The Living hit no. 1 on CFBX in Kamloops as well as CFUV in Victoria. The “core” Public Service features friendly neighbourhood musicians George Woodhouse, Joss MacNeil, Andrew MacCormack, Jan Lapierre and Justin Huston.
D’Ambrosia – Weaving introspective and wistful lyrics together with lush, smoky instrumentation, D’Ambrosia’s sound is a mix of indie- rock, dream-pop and Americana. Singer-songwriter, Kim D’Ambrogi, leads with sultry vocals, backed by her talented band, who add a rocky and psychedelic edge to the musical mix.
