The Royal Canadian Geographical Society and Canadian Geographic invite the public to their headquarters at 50 Sussex Drive June 5-9, as part of Ocean Week Canada celebrations, to experience the Ocean, Freshwater and Us Giant Floor Map, educational tours, an ocean-focused Can Geo Talk and access to an extraordinary exhibit entitled PRESSURE which features James Cameron’s DEEPSEA CHALLENGER.
The remarkable events taking place at 50 Sussex during Ocean Week will educate, animate and inspire. The Ocean, Freshwater and Us Giant Floor Map will be presented in the main gallery and the PRESSURE exhibit will be mounted in the Alex Trebek Theatre (and accessible beyond Ocean Week Canada from June 5 – September 1, 2023) thanks to a collaborative partnership with the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition and their team of national partners, including the generous support of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Canadian Geographic’s Ocean Week activities and the immersive PRESSURE exhibit will enhance ocean literacy in Canada, build support for Canadian leadership on marine conservation and sustainable management of the oceans, and inspire further exploration of the ocean.
