Ocean Week Quebec (SDOQ), organized by Organisation Bleue, is an annual provincial event celebrating the ocean as part of the pan-Canadian Ocean Week Canada movement. Quebec has been part of the celebrations for seven years! From Montreal to Quebec City, and through Lacolle, Trois-Pistoles, Saguenay and many other regions, programming will include community cleanups, talks, screenings, family activities, ocean learning sessions, citizen-led initiatives and cultural gatherings aimed at raising public awareness about the protection of aquatic ecosystems. Once again this year, community mobilization will be at the heart of the event, particularly through several shoreline cleanups organized in collaboration with local partners and engaged community members. The goal: to give as many people as possible the opportunity to take concrete action to protect the ocean and the St. Lawrence River.
