–Join CPAWS Manitoba for an exciting Ocean Week Canada event: « Exploring Manitoba’s Arctic Coastline »–
This family-friendly gathering on June 6th at Assiniboine Park aims to connect kids and families in Winnipeg with the wonders of Manitoba’s Arctic Ocean coastline.
Though we may be far from the coast itself, this event presents a unique opportunity to understand and celebrate Manitoba’s identity as an ocean province.
Participants will learn about the remarkable animals and ecosystems that inhabit the Arctic, including beluga whales, polar bears, arctic foxes, and more.
The event will feature interactive stations with engaging games, learning opportunities, and educational activities for kids and families! The programming is geared toward kids ages 5 to 12, but is open to kids of all ages.
We’ll get creative with ocean-themed crafts, marvel at replica dolphin and whale skeletons, and dive deeper into the fascinating world of the Arctic through hands-on experiences led by CPAWS Manitoba’s environmental education team.
To accommodate as many ocean enthusiasts as possible, the event will run in two separate time slots: 5:00 – 6:15 PM and 6:30 – 7:45 PM.
Please note that spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot. Please register for one ticket per child. Caregivers do not need to register to attend.
Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in the wonders of Manitoba’s Arctic coastline and join us in celebrating Ocean Week Canada!
–This event is part of the official Ocean Week Canada program and was made possible thanks to the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition.–
