The Canadian Network for Environmental Education and Communication (EECOM) annual conference is being chaired by the Gaia Project, The Conservation Corps of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Clean Foundation, The Three Nations Education Group, and the Sustainability Education Alliance at NBEN. The conference will be held virtually using Zoom and Hopin and will have 3 main streams:
- Green Careers and Mentorship
- Supporting Youth Climate Action, and
- Cross-curricular Experiential Learning
Register now for the 2023 EECOM Conference: Taking Action through Environmental Learning and Youth Leadership. The general admission price is $120. This 3-day virtual conference promises access to in-depth professional development, opportunities to network with individuals from across the country, 70+ speakers, and workshops spanning a wide range of topics, while showcasing the expertise of the Atlantic provinces. This conference is for educators of all backgrounds, with highlighted presentations specifically for teachers and students to attend during the day.

The Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition and Ocean Week Canada will be hosting a booth in the virtual eco-expo during the conference. EECOM attendees are invited to visit our booth to learn about the recently launched Blue Schools Canada Network, the work we are leading to support education for sustainable development and strengthen ocean awareness in Canada, and opportunities in the Blue Economy awaiting members of current, and next generations in Canada.
The eco-expo is currently scheduled at the following times:

6:20-7:30 PM Atlantic Time on Thurs, Feb 16
6:15-7:15 PM Atlantic Time on Fri, Feb 17
