Metro Vancouver residents depend on healthy waterways and oceans. We are all connected to our local waters through our daily lives and choices.
Join high school students from across our region who are passionate about learning to protect the health of our region, local waterways, and oceans.
At this interactive leadership clinic, participants will:
- Get to know Metro Vancouver and its Liquid Waste Services and how it protects the health of our region
- Tour the Iona Wastewater Treatment Plant and learn about upgrades to this facility and the wastewater collection system
- Explore Iona Island Regional Park (beside the treatment plant)
- Be introduced to and provide feedback about Metro Vancouver’s Liquid Waste Management Plan Update
- Meet and ask questions to a range of professionals who work in operations, planning, and engagement to support regional wastewater services
- Connect and share success stories with others who share your passion for learning and leadership
- Make sustainability real, relevant, action-oriented and fun
