Join the South Shore Young Naturalists Club with Ian Manning from the NSCC as we explore the shore at Risser’s Beach.
Ian will lend his seaside expertise for identifying the many creatures and lifeforms that can be found in and around the ocean. This is a great opportunity for hands-on learning as we carefully examine elements of the beach that many of us tend to overlook when we visit the beach to swim or enjoy the sun.
This event takes place on Sunday May 24th at 10am. We will meet at the little visitor center area on the other side of the tunnel (park in main parking lot, walk through the tunnel, and meet inside).
If you have one, please bring a bucket to collect specimens, shells and/or critters to ID when we gather again as a group

(Living creatures will be returned at the end)
Remember to dress for the weather, and for the location! I would suggest bringing a change of clothes if you have youth who tend to get wet and messy

(which isn’t a bad thing!)
